Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (11/15/2022) Gwynedd Mercy University (3-1) played host to Arcadia University (3-1) in the annual Battle of 309. The Griffins were up by 12 at halftime, but a 27 to 10 3rd quarter allowed Gwynedd Mercy to leave the Battle of 309 victorious with a final score of 76-47. Senior forward Haley Crossley (Philadelphia, Pa.) finished with a team-high 15 points on 6-10 (.600) shooting; she was 1-of-2 (.500) from three-point range and hit two of her four free throws (2-of-4, .500). Crossley also recorded six rebounds and an assist in the Griffins win. 

Griffins Highlights

• Gwynedd Mercy University outrebounded Arcadia University 49 to 37 with 18 of those rebounds being offensive rebounds. 
• The Griffins outshot the Knights from the floor 39.4% (28-71) while the Knights shot 26.9% (14-52). 
• Gwynedd Mercy University forced Arcadia University to 20 turnovers while the Griffins only turned the ball over 11 times. 
• Senior guard Elise Sylvester (Pottstown, Pa.) finished with an impressive eight points, six assists, and seven rebounds. 

Gwynedd Mercy University returns to action on Thursday, November 17, when they travel to Wilkes University for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff.
