How it Happened

  • The Green Terror opened the game hitting their first four  to get ahead 9-2 just over three minutes into the game. 

  • McDaniel extended the run over the remainder of the first period, holding the Blazers scoreless for the final five minutes to end the period up 18-6.

  • The second period was almost even as both teams traded baskets throughout the ten minutes. The Blazers shot 46 percent in the second period, but McDaniel went into halftime with a 34-20 lead.

  • In the third period Hood cut the lead to 10 when Quarles hit a mid-range jumper to put the score at 38-28. McDaniel ended the period on a 10-3 run to build the lead back up to 48-31.

  • The Green Terror scored 12 to the Blazers 10 in the final period to win the game by a score of 60-41.

  • McDaniel held the field goal percentage advantage 41 percent to the Blazers 30 percent.

  • The Green Terror outrebounded the Blazers 43-36 in the game.

  • The McDaniel bench outscored Hood 21-16.
