KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Basketball team lost at home on Friday night 63-32 to Utica College in an Empire 8 matchup.
Lauren Hill (Cobleskill, N.Y. / Cobleskill-Richmondville) led Keuka College (1-18, 0-11 Empire 8) with 13 points and seven rebounds. Amelia Poole (Bloomfield, N.Y. / Bloomfield) added eight points for the Wolves.
Utica College 63 at Keuka College 32
Utica College got on the board first, but the Wolves answered as Jenna LaMere (Scottsville, N.Y. / Wheatland-Chili) found Meaghan McGwin (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) behind the defense for the easy layup. The Pioneers built a double-digit lead, but Lauren Hill hit a pair of threes for the Wolves to make it 16-8. Utica would score 11 of the final 14 points of the quarter, however, to lead 27-11 after one.
The second saw a large drop in scoring. Both teams shot below 20% from the floor. Keuka got a three from Lauren Hill and a layup by Katherine Deatherage (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Marcus Whitman). The Pioneers scored only 6 in the frame and led 33-16 at the half.
The Pioneers made the first 10 points of the second half. Amelia Poole ended the run with a three for the Wolves with 2:46 left in the third. Deatherage later hit a three for Keuka but the Wolves would trail 50-23 going into the final quarter.
Utica College outscored the Wolves 13-9 in the final quarter as the Pioneers saw out the conference victory.

- The Wolves are now 11-9 all-time against Utica College. In all nine losses, Keuka has scored less than 56 points
- Keuka College knocked down seven threes in the game. The Wolves now have 162 on the year, setting a new single-season record at Keuka.
- Lauren Hill surpassed 200 career points on Friday night
- Hill went 4-5 from three, tying her career-high for threes made and setting a new personal best for three-point percentage. 80% from three ties for the second-best shooting percentage from deep in program history with a minimum of five attempts
