Two career milestones and a 61st consecutive victory — it was another sensational night for the Hope College women's basketball team.

The No. 1-ranked Flying Dutch soared to a 101-41 victory at Saint Mary's College on Wednesday behind two new 1,000-point collegiate scorers: seniors Sydney Muller and Olivia Voskuil.

Hope matched Thomas More College (Ky.) for the third-longest winning streak in NCAA Division III women's basketball history. The Flying Dutch, who are 16-0 this season, have the longest active winning streak in all of NCAA basketball at 61 games.

Voskuil and Mulder helped Hope continue its winning ways, combining for 32 points and ensuring a perfect Flying Dutch run through the first round of MIAA play with an 8-0 league record.

"They connect in so many ways. They live together right now. They're good friends," head coach Brian Morehouse said. "It was cool they scored their 1,000th point on the same night. They would have done this in four years had we played four normal seasons. They scored 1,000 points in a four-year span of games. They're back for their fifth year, and they've got bigger goals."

The 6-foot-3 Voskuil scored a career-high 20 points to give her 1,001 points  in her Flying Dutch career. The civil engineering major from Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian HS) joined 17 other Flying Dutch who achieved the milestone all in a Hope uniform.

Voskuil shot 83.3 percent from the field (10-12), including the milestone-achieving layup early in the second half of an entry pass from Muller.

Muller also achieved 1,000 collegiate points early in the second half on a driving layup. The exercise science major from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christian) reached the milestone with 672 points over the past four seasons with the Flying Dutch and 328 over one season at Cornerstone University.

Muller shot 80 percent from the field (4-5), including 100 percent from 3-point range (2-2). The guard also hit both of her free-throw attempts.

Hope shot 62.3 percent from the field for the game (43-69).

The Flying Dutch never trailed and hit the century mark for a team-record fifth time this season and the 34th time in team history.

Hope's next game is Saturday, Jan. 25, at 3 p.m. against Alma College.
