READING, Pa. – Keystone junior Renata Alberici (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) nabbed a third career double-double as the Giants gassed through Penn State Berks, 90-42, Monday evening in non-conference play for win No. 1 on the season.
Penn State Berks took the opening possession and jumped on the scoreboard first, but it was all Keystone from that point on.
The Giants improved to 1-1 as first-year head coach Al Berger earned his first win at Keystone.
The Nittany Lions dropped to 0-6.
Standout Performers
- Renata Alberici (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) totaled 15 points on 4-of-5 shooting with a perfect 6 for 6 at the free-throw line. The junior totaled 10 rebounds for her third career double-double. She also had three steals.
- Bella Lamonea (Glendora, Calif./South Hills) led the Giants with a game-high 17 points and was one rebound away from a double-double.
- Lee Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) and Katie Price (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) each swiped away five steals.
- Penn State Berks' Sam Hagenbush cashed in a team-high 10 points in 16 minutes of play off the bench.
