An early steal by Amelia Poole (Bloomfield, N.Y. / Bloomfield) led to a Sydney Bloom (Penn Yan, N.Y. / Penn Yan Academy) layup for the opening basket of the game. The two teams traded baskets for most of the third quarter. Sage would go on an 8-0 run midway through the third to widen the gap. Killian Mahoney knocked down a three in the final seconds, but the Gators would carry a 59-38 lead into the final quarter.
