Jacksonville, Ill. - Eighth-ranked DePauw knocked down 10 3-pointers and recorded 15 steals on the way to a 74-35 win at Illinois College. The Tigers moved to 8-1, while the Lady Blues dropped to 4-4.
Illinois College briefly held a 7-6 lead in the opening quarter before Mya Shannon hit a pair of 3-pointers and Campbell Montgomery a layup to put the Tigers ahead for good. DePauw hit 56 percent from the floor and nailed four treys in the second to expand the lead to 41-18 at the intermission. The hosts got no closer than 20 the rest of the way and the Tigers scored 14 straight in the fourth to take their largest lead of the game at 74-31.
Shannon led the Tigers with 14 points, while Imani Graham netted a career high with 11 points including three 3-pointers. Hayley Cange chipped in 10 points and shared the team rebounding lead with Campbell Montgomery as each had six. Maura Fitzgerald dished out a game-high five assists. Madison Schoenfeld led Illinois College with eight points and Lilly Pepper grabbed 10 rebounds.
DePauw shot 47.5 percent from the floor and hit 10 of 19 from 3-point range, while the Lady Blues connected on just 22.9 percent. DePauw committed just 14 turnovers to Illinois College's 14 for a 29-8 edge in points off of turnovers. The hosts outrebounded DePauw, 42-38.
