The No. 6 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's basketball team recorded their second win over UW-Stevens Point this season with a 59-41 win on Wednesday night in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest.

The Warhawks (18-2 overall, 8-1 WIAC), who remained one game ahead of UW-Eau Claire in first place in the WIAC standings with the win, held the Pointers to just 28.6 percent from the floor and earned 17 points from turnovers throughout the game.

Junior center Johanna Taylor (Wauwatosa, Wis./East) led the team with a double-double, recording 12 points and 11 rebounds. The teams came out of the break much more competitive, as both recorded their highest number of points in the third quarter. The Warhawks held the Pointers scoreless through two and a half minutes of play while running up their score to an 18-point advantage once again.

During the fourth quarter, UW-W did not let UW-SP within 17 points and led by a game-high 23 points after a layup from Raeder with 2:27 left to play. The Warhawks wrapped up the game with a 59-41 victory.
