Staten Island Runs Past Baruch with Big Third Quarter

The Baruch College Bearcats lost 74-59 to the Dolphins from the College of Staten Island in a contest on Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.

Milly Ye scored a career-high 17 points (7-10 fg, 3-4 3fg) to pace four Bearcats in double-figure scoring.

The visiting Dolphins started the third quarter on a game-busting 14-3 run that proved pivotal in their road win. They were leading at the half, 37-30.

Daniela Zirpolo scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Melinda Spahiu had a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Frances Snyder rounded out the double-figure scorers with a near double-double of 10 points and nine rebounds.

Staten Island is currently re-classifying its athletic program to NCAA Division II status and tonight's game only counted for the overall season record and not CUNYAC

Megan McEwan led their team with 16 points (6-10 fg, 3-6 3fg).
