The game at Lehman College on Friday night was a tale of two halves.
The two teams were tied (29-29) after the first two quarters in a tightly-contested game, but the second half was totally the opposite.
Lehman scored the opening basket of the third quarter, but the visiting Bearcats then went on a game-busting 23-6 run to take a 52-35 lead with 2:12 left in the third. That lead proved insurmountable for the hosts as the Bearcats went on to record their sixth win in seven games of 2020.
The Bearcats shot 55 percent (16-for-29) in the second half to improve to 5-2 in the conference standings.
Nia Dawson led the way with a double-double of 20 points and six rebounds. She shot 6-of-9 during the second half.
Melinda Spahiu had 13 points and Frances Snyder had 11. Daniela Zirpolo finished with 15 rebounds.
Nina Gill led the home team with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds.
