No. 3 Hope Beats Calvin in the 125th Game in The Rivalry

The third-ranked Hope College women's basketball team swept The Rivalry for the second consecutive regular season on Wednesday by defeating Calvin University, 74-50, on Wednesday in front of a DeVos Fieldhouse crowd of 1,275.
 
It was The Rivalry's 125th women's basketball game.
 
Five players scored in double figures for the unbeaten Flying Dutch (15-0 overall, 6-0 MIAA).
 
The nation's No. 1 scoring defense has not allowed an opponent to score more than 51 points in a game this season.
 
Forward Jessica Moorman's career-high 14 points off the bench led Hope. Forward Courteney Barnes chipped in 13 points, while center Olivia Voskuil added 11 points. Guards Sydney Muller and Kenedy Schoonveld scored 13 points apiece.
 
Hope broke open the game with a 23-8 second quarter for a 40-22 halftime lead.
 
The Flying Dutch beat Calvin for the 20th time in 30 games since 2010. The Knights lead the all-time series, 71-54.
