LANCASTER, Pa. — The Keuka College Women's Basketball team earned their first North Eastern Athletic Conference victory of the season, defeated hosts Lancaster Bible College 64-57 on Saturday.

Keuka College (5-4, 1-1 NEAC) was led by Sam Laranjo (Averill Park, N.Y. / Averill Park) and Riley Record (Palmyra, N.Y. / Palmyra-Macedon), each with 18 points. Sydney Bloom (Penn Yan, N.Y. / Penn Yan Academy) added 10 for the Wolves.

Lancaster Bible College scored the first six of the game before Kaitlin Snipas (Crestwood, Pa. / Mountain Top) made a mid-range jumper to open the scoring. A pair of threes extended the Chargers lead. Sydney Bloom stole the ball in the final seconds and laid it in at the buzzer, but the Wolves still trailed 15-14 after the first.

Riley Record hit her first three of the game to open the second, giving the Wolves their first lead of the game. The Green and Gold went on an 11-0 run over the first five minutes to take a 10-point lead over the Chargers. The Wolves stayed hot as Sam Laranjo scored eight in the first half on 4-7 shooting in the quarter. Keuka College led 31-23 at the break.

One the opening possession of the second, Sydney Bloom knocked down a three and followed that with a jumper in the paint on the next trip down the floor. Minutes later, Bloom hit another three to make it 39-31. Riley Record followed that with a three as the Wolves regained a double-digit lead. At the end of three quarters, the Wolves led 47-39.

The Chargers scored the first five of the quarter as the hosts cut into the Keuka lead. The Wolves found consistency on the offense end and regained their double-digit lead. Lancaster Bible College continued to battle down the stretch. A Charger three cut the lead to four, 57-53, with just under two minutes left to play. The Wolves made their free throws as they kept the game at two-possessions into the final minute.

• Keuka College earned their third ever victory over Lancaster Bible College. The Chargers remain ahead 3-8 all-time
• It was the most ever points scored by Keuka against Lancaster Bible, eclipsing the 63 they scored in the 2012-13 season
• Riley Record hit three threes for the Wolves, giving her 82 in her career. The junior moved past Reighly Melochick and Katie Stuart for sixth on the Keuka College career list
• Arianna DeNault (Latham, N.Y. / Shaker) had a strong game with the ball, collecting four rebounds. DeNault also led the Wolves with five assists against the Chargers

Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold remain on the road on Sunday as Keuka College travels to Gallaudet University. The Bison ended the season for the Wolves, defeating them in the NEAC Semi-finals last year.
