Baruch Falls to Brooklyn College

The Baruch College Bearcats fell to the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College, 90-51, in a CUNYAC matchup Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.

After a closely contested first quarter that featured several lead changes, Brooklyn's offense broke out in the second quarter, outscoring the Bearcats, 23-14.

The visiting Bulldogs put the game out of reach in the third outscoring the Bearcats again, 33-20, for the road win.

Melinda Spahiu was tops this evening with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Taylor George led the visiting Bulldogs with 23 points.

The women's basketball team will return to action on Saturday 12:00 p.m. at home against Lehman College.

The Baruch College Athletic Department will be hosting Alumni Day on Saturday and will honor the memory of former men's basketball coach (29 years) and athletic director Ray Rankis, who passed away this summer. There will be a special banner unveiled prior to the men's game to honor Rankis in front of his family, friends and the Baruch community.
