GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's basketball team kept rolling through the Centennial Conference schedule Tuesday night inside Bream Gym, racing past an out-matched squad from Swarthmore College for a 75-36 victory.
 
Gettysburg (10-2, 7-0 CC), which came into the contest ranked 20th by D3hoops.com, ran its streak of wins against conference foes to 22 games with the win over Swarthmore (2-11, 1-7 CC). The Bullets pulled down a season-high 54 rebounds and forced 22 turnovers by the Garnet.
 
Freshman Tierra Morris (Goochland, Va./Collegiate School) led the way with 14 points on the strength of four three-pointers. Sophomore Meredith Brown (Landisburg, Pa./West Perry) added 10 points and five boards and senior Emma Dorshimer (Jenkintown, Pa./Jenkintown) posted eight points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Thirteen Bullets in all reached the scoring column.
 
Karinna Papke led Swarthmore with eight points and Erin Cronin tallied six points and six rebounds.
 
The score was tied 4-4 before Gettysburg settled into an offensive groove and went on a 24-4 scoring run. Juniors Ashley Gehrin (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) and Kiera Cesareo (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) started the run with back-to-back triples and senior Teal Tasker (Chambersburg, Pa./Mercersburg Academy) ended it with pair of fast-break layups to lift the hosts in front 28-8 with 8:20 left in the first half.
 
Gettysburg rolled into the locker room with a 42-20 advantage as junior Tyler Keohan (Acton, Mass./Acton Boxborough Regional) punctuated the end of the first half with a steal and layup.
 
The margin continued to grow in the third period as Swarthmore was held without a field goal through the first 9:33 of the quarter. Brown out-scored the Garnet by herself (6-5) and a layup by freshman Mackenzie Tinner (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) made it a 37-point advantage (59-22) with 53 seconds left in the frame.
 
Gettysburg's lead didn't dip below 30 points in the final period and reached a game-high 39 on a three-pointer by freshman Christina Richson (Summit, N.J./Summit) with the shot clock and game clock winding down in the final seconds.
 
After shooting nearly 50 percent in the opening half, Gettysburg cooled off in the final 20 minutes and finished at 39.2 percent for the game. The Bullets hit 31-of-79 field goals, including 9-of-28 from beyond the arc. Swarthmore finished 14-of-53 (26.4 percent) overall and 4-of-20 (20 percent) from the three-point line.
 
Gettysburg travels to Washington College (5-7, 2-5 CC) on Thursday. Game time is 6 p.m.
