Oxy Runs Past Sull Ross St.

LOS ANGELESRaveena Dhiman had 23 points and nine rebounds off the bench, Emily Leonard had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Mallory North added 10 points and 10 rebounds as Oxy ran away from Sull Ross St. 89-63 at Rush Gym on Tuesday.

Dhiman hit four threes and was 9 for 17 from the field. Oxy shot the ball well as a team, going 52 percent for the game while holding Sull Ross St. to just 34 percent.

Alyssa Ramlochan scored 15 points for Oxy, Madison Toy had eight assists and no turnovers, and Taylor Yoshida added eight points. 

"It was a great team win for us," Oxy head coach Anahit Aladzhanyan said. "We executed our game plan, and played hard and together. It was wonderful having Kulaea back, and Emily, Mallory and Raveena were particularly effective at both ends of the floor."

Oxy opened up a big lead by the end of the first quarter 21-9 and went up 46-24 by halftime. 

Season Impact: The Tigers improve to 6-4 overall.

Next Game: Oxy returns to action after the holiday break on Dec. 30 against Saint Joseph's (Me.) at 1 p.m.
