Senior guard Lucia Renikoff scored seven of her game-high 20 points during a game-closing 17-6 run over the final 3:50 to lead No. 4-ranked and visiting St. Thomas to a 76-73 win over No. 10-ranked George Fox in non-conference women's basketball play late Friday night in Newberg, Ore.

The Tommies (1-0) overcame 29 turnovers and survived the Bruins' 22-of-23 proficiency at the foul line. Coach Ruth Sinn's team pushed its regular-season win streak to 16 dating back to last December.

The Toms shot 52 percent, posted a 36-18 advantage on the boards, and held GFU without a field goal over the last 4:30. 

Senior All-America center Hannah Spaulding finished with 16 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks. She made 5-of-6 shots and 5-of-6 free throws in 30 minutes.

Spaulding's two free throws with 1:02 left erased the last GFU lead and put the Toms ahead 72-71. Kaia Porter's jumper with 30 seconds to go pushed the lead to 74-71. The Bruins made two free throws with :05 to play to cut the lead back to one. Macy Hatlestad sank two free throws with :02 to go. A desperation heave by the home team from past half court at the buzzer hit rim but didn't go down.

Hayley Hutzler had 15 points and eight rebounds for George Fox. It was a rare on-campus loss for GFU, which went 15-0 at home in a 25-4 finish last season.
