DOYLESTOWN -- The King's College women's basketball team overcame a 29-26 half-time deficit by outscoring host Delaware Valley University 24-11 in the third quarter as the Lady Monarchs picked up an important 65-57 Freedom Conference road victory Wednesday night in Doylestown.

With Delaware Valley holding a 15-12 lead after the first quarter, the Aggies went on a 7-0 run to start the second quarter to build a 22-12 lead after a bucket and foul shot by Danielle Skedzielewski with 6:32 on the clock.

After King's got back-to-back three-pointers from Mackenzie Yori and Erin Schmidt to cut the score to 22-18, Skedzielewski hit a three-pointer of her own to put the Aggies ahead 25-18 at the 4:00 mark.

After an Aggie miss, Yori canned back-to-back three-pointers to give King's a 39-34 advantage with 5:26 on the clock, a lead the Lady Monarchs would not surrender. Alexis Steeber then scored four straight points for King's to cap a 10-0 run, giving the Lady Monarchs a 43-34 advantage with 3:54 left in the frame. King's eventually took its biggest lead of the game to that points when Lindsay Dippre drained a three-pointer to push the score to 50-40 entering the fourth quarter.

King's continued to build upon the lead in the final frame when an inside bucket by Prociak, one-of-two free throws from Rachael DeTore, and a Yori jumper extended the lead to 55-40 with 8:32 left in the contest.

The Aggies cut the lead to 59-53 with 5:14 to go on a Smink three-pointer bu the Aggies would come no closer the rest of the way.
