Tommie women stay in share of MIAC lead

No. 13-ranked St. Thomas shot 50 percent from the floor and had only seven turnovers in Saturday's 88-38 home win over St. Olaf in MIAC women's basketball play in Schoenecker Arena.

St. Thomas (13-2 overall, 8-0 MIAC) raced to a 23-5 lead and never looked back. Fourteen different players scored for the Tommies, who stayed in a share of the conference lead with St. Ben's and extended their MIAC win streak to 42.

Lucia Renikoff had 17 points, Hannah Spaulding added 16 points and seven rebounds, and Lauren Fischer had 11 points and six boards.

Samantha Tisa led the Oles with nine points and four assists.
