SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Four players reached double figures as Gettysburg College remained perfect in the Centennial Conference with a lopsided 83-38 victory over Swarthmore College inside Tarble Pavilion Saturday afternoon.
 
Gettysburg (10-1, 6-0 CC), which put up 80-plus points in back-to-back games for the first time in nine years, turned in its second-best shooting effort of the season at 51.6 percent while holding Swarthmore (1-8, 0-6 CC) to just 23.9 percent.
 
Junior Emma Dorshimer (Jenkintown, Pa./Jenkintown) led a well-balanced effort with a game-high 16 points as she continues her march to 1,000. Dorshimer is now just 17 points away from becoming just the fifth Bullet to reach the milestone in her junior season.
 
Sophomore Ashley Gehrin (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) reached double figures for the seventh consecutive game with 15 points, all but one of which came in the opening half of play. Senior Emily Gibbons (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) added a dozen points, while sophomore Kiera Cesareo (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) led the bench production with 11 points. Senior Kendra Meredith (Boyds, Md./Northwest) dished out a season-high eight assists, scored six points, and recorded four steals.
 
Abigail Pirron was the lone Swarthmore player in double figures with 10 points.
 
Gettysburg never trailed as an offensive board by Gibbons led to a lay-up by Dorshimer to open the contest. The Garnet tied the contest twice in the early going and trailed just 15-13 with 3:39 to play in the first quarter. The Bullets ran away at that point, turning in the final seven points of the period and the first eight of the next.
 
The visitors grabbed a 21-point lead on a three-pointer by Gehrin late in the second period and the margin stood at 22 (43-21) heading into the break.
 
Dorshimer turned in 10 points in the third quarter as the lead grew to 37 (67-30) heading into the fourth quarter. Junior Teal Tasker (Chambersburg, Pa./Mercersburg Academy) clinched the team's third 80-point effort of the season with a jumper with 1:32 to go.
 
Gettysburg dominated the paint (46-12), bench scoring (32-13), and rebounding (45-37), while also forcing 20 turnovers.
 
The Bullets host Haverford College (8-2, 5-1 CC) on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
