The Baruch College Bearcats suffered a 59-32 home loss to the Pioneers of Smith College on Friday afternoon in the ARC Arena.

Shannon Barrett recorded another double-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots.

Sameera Ahmed made her Bearcat debut with a solid effort of 12 points, five rebounds and two assists.

Melinda Spahiu finished with seven points, six rebounds and three steals.

The visiting Pioneers from the New England Men' & Women's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) led from start to finish to win for the eighth time in 10 games this regular season.
