GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Ashley Gehrin(Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) scored 17 of her career-high 22 points in the first five minutes and Gettysburg College maintained its perfect Centennial Conference record with a 65-31 victory over Bryn Mawr College Saturday afternoon inside Bream Gym.

Coming into the game, Gehrin was just 1-of-13 from beyond the arc this season. The sophomore connected on each of her first four three-point attempts as Gettysburg (7-1, 5-0 CC) burst out to a 16-0 advantage. After Bryn Mawr (0-8, 0-6 CC) made its first field goal, Gehrin connected on another three-pointer to finish out her scoring in the period with 5:04 remaining.

Gettysburg canned 11-of-18 field goals, including 6-of-9 from three-point land to seize a 28-2 lead after the opening quarter.

The Owls were only out-scored 37-29 over the final three quarters of play, but the deficit did not drop below 21. A steal and fast-break layup by freshman Emma Bertrando (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) set the final margin with 1:22 left in the game.

It was her fourth consecutive double-figure scoring performance and she topped her previous personal best by six points. Junior Emma Dorshimer (Jenkintown, Pa./Jenkintown) was the only other Gettysburg player in double-figures with 11 points.
