The Millikin women's basketball team defeated MacMurray College 91-51 on November 21 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.

          The Big Blue dominated the game throughout leading 29-6 after the first quarter.

Millikin lead 47-18 at the half.  The Big Blue shot 46 percent from the field including hitting on 10-25 (40 percent) from three-point range.  MacMurray hit only 30 percent from the field.  Millikin won the rebounding battle 48-34. 

          Devin Curry led the Big Blue with 19 points followed by Cassie Somers with 14 and Yanni Saddler with 10.  Haley Toohill and Sarah Bailey each had nine points and six rebounds.  Freshman Jordan Hildebrand had a team high seven rebounds with six points.  Saddler, Curry and Toohill each had four assists.

          Liz Kruemmelbein led MacMurray with 17 points and six rebounds.

          Millikin improves to 2-1 while the Highlanders go to 1-2.

          Millikin will be back in action on November 27 at Eureka College.
