Albright's shooting cooled a bit in the second half, but so did Piedmont's, which prevented a comeback. Amari Price got the Georgia side to within 42-35 7:21 into the third, but Horka scored four straight points and Mikayla Lea (10 points) tallied in transition off an Alysha Lofton steal, which grew Albright's lead grew to 13.

Neither squad scored in the first three minutes of a sluggish fourth quarter, but Jane Joyce capped a 7-0 Albright burst that opened a 62-45 margin with 4:14 remaining. Piedmont's Jatasia Bailey and Brianna Bennett made three-pointers in the final minutes, but the Lions drew no closer than eight points.

Albright's Joyce, a junior, collected 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists, a block and three steals in 38 minutes of running the point for Albright. Shannon Thomas posted 10 points and eight rebounds, plus three of the Lions' nine blocks. Lea also scored 10, as did Nina Mazzarelli, who also doled out five assists.

Piedmont's Bailey shot four-of-six from three-point range en route to a game-high 20 points. She was the lone Piedmont player in double figures however, as Albright used its size to hold the smaller Lions to under 28 percent shooting.
