The Baruch College Bearcats lost a tough, yet highly competitive contest by the score of 69-65 to the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College on Thursday night at the 13th Annual Battle of Lexington.

The Bearcats led 65-64 with 4:07 left on a jumper by
Daniela Arias, but the visiting Bulldogs scored the final five points to walk away with the CUNYAC victory.

Neither team shot the ball well in front of the near capacity crowd, but the taller Bulldogs used their height advantage to win the battle of the boards with a 59-37 rebounding advantage for 23 second chance points.


Shannon Barretthad another all-around performance for the Bearcats with 20 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and three steals.

Kristen Podlovitshas 18 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Veronica Ganzitotaled 17 points as she continues her rise up the all-time team's scoring charts.

Taylor Gallagher led the Bulldogs with 16 points (4-8 3fg).
