LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team improved to 14-3 on the season with a home victory over MSOE despite being outrebounded for the first time this season.

Roxanna Gaddis connected on a three-pointer at the 8:29 mark of the first quarter to break a 2-2 tie and hand Benedictine the lead for good
Georgia Alexakos opened an 8-0 run to close the first quarter with a free throw
Payton Sims splashed home a three just before the first quarter buzzer to cap the run and make the score 17-7
Venita Parsons opened the second quarter with a jumper to push the lead to 19-7
Benedictine led by double digits for most of the second quarter, utilizing a 6-0 run to push ahead 26-13 on a triple from D'Asia Williams at the 2:57 mark
Williams scored the final points of the half on a three as well, giving Benedictine a 33-17 halftime edge
The third quarter saw both teams slow down with a combined five made field goals and both squads shooting under 23 percent
The visitors chipped away in the final 10 minutes, but Benedictine had a response for every run
MSOE was able to battle within 48-41 with just over two minutes remaining, but scored only four points the rest of the way

MSOE held a 41-32 advantage on the glass though both teams collected 11 offensive boards
