SOUTH HADLEY, Mass.—Senior Giovanna Pickering (Hull, Mass.) scored a game-high 11 points and first-year Emily Bonifacic (Allendale, N.J.) recorded the first double-double of her career with 10 points and 10 rebounds as visiting Babson College defeated Mount Holyoke College, 108-32, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's basketball action on Saturday at Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium.

With the win, Babson is now 15-3 overall and 9-0 in the conference, while Mount Holyoke slips to 2-14 overall and 0-9 in the NEWMAC.

Senior Taylor Russell (Braintree, Mass.) and junior Hannah Metcalf (Middlebury, Conn.) each had 10 points for the Beavers, who had 15 different players score on the day. Senior Jennifer Narlee (Medfield, Mass.) finished with eight rebounds, while Pickering, junior Julianna Rosenberg (Verona, N.J.) and sophomore Elizabeth Lane (Skaneateles, N.Y.) all dished out three assists apiece.

First-year Kathryn Violette (Yokosuka City, Japan) scored 11 points and senior Xajaah Williams-Flores (Bronx, N.Y.) added eight points and a game-high 11 boards for the Lyons.

Sophomore Katherine Tamulionis (Foxboro, Mass.), who was making her first career start, scored seven quick points to stake the Green and White to a 17-7 edge less than six minutes into the contest. Leading 28-11 at the end of the first quarter, the sophomore duo of Bianca Tomassini (North Branford, Conn.) and Tea Spellacy (Belchertown, Mass.) scored 15 of the Beavers' next 17 points to extend the advantage to 42-15 less than five minutes into the second. Bonifacic and fellow first-year Vanessa Onwe (Tarrytown, N.Y.) each scored four points over the final four minutes of the stanza to help Babson take a 54-22 advantage into the locker room.

The Green and White shot 54.5 percent in the third quarter and forced 10 turnovers while outscoring Mount Holyoke 33-1 to push its lead to 87-23 entering the fourth. The Lyons ended a field goal drought of over 14 minutes when first-year Katlyn Grover (Bernardston, Mass.) knocked down a three-pointer with 6:25 remaining in the game, but Babson outscored the hosts 21-9 in the final stanza to top the century mark for the first time this season.

The Beavers shot 45.7 for the game, scored 47 points off of turnovers and finished with a 66-24 advantage on the glass.

Mount Holyoke shot just 27.3 percent and committed 34 turnovers in the loss.

Both teams return to action on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. as Babson hosts MIT, while Mount Holyoke visits Springfield.

•    The Beavers are now 37-7 all-time against Mount Holyoke and have won 17 straight games in the series going back to 2008.
•    Babson got a season-high 70 points from its bench in Saturday's win as no player logged more than 16 minutes.
