AURORA, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team won at Aurora on Wednesday night to sweep the season series.

Benedictine led for almost the entire game but could never put Aurora away
Roxanna Gaddis opened the game with a three-pointer as Benedictine built a 7-2 lead after consecutive baskets from Georgia Alexakos
Aurora tied the game three times in the first 10 minutes but never led as Benedictine moved to the second leading 14-12
Payton Sims kicked off the second quarter with a three-pointer
Leading by three points, D'Asia Williams opened an 8-0 run with a triple at the 5:36 mark
Sims capped the stretch with a three and Benedictine took a 28-22 lead into the locker room
The hosts cut the deficit to three points early in the third but five points late extended the advantage to 10
Aurora pulled within four points halfway through the final quarter and again with just over two minutes left but Benedictine countered to hold on for the win

"A great road conference win," head coach Charlie Averkamp said. "Roxanna (Gaddis) gave us a huge spark and played an all-around great game. Casey Williams hit a big three and made some key defensive stops. D'Asia (Williams) was huge for us down the stretch, attacking the basket. Everyone played a part in this win."
