FROM THE COACH
"We have some great shooters on this team," head coach Charlie Averkamp said. "We talk all the time about having confidence in your shot when you are on or off. We really moved the ball in the second half and found each other for open looks and luckily knocked them down. Our defensive effort in stopping the transition game was huge. Georgia (Alexakos) did a little of everything offensively and played a great game on defense. This was a huge road win."

STAT LEADERS
Benedictine shot 43.8 percent in the second half and finished the game at 36.9 percent while limiting Alverno to under 30 percent
As the team has done all year, Benedictine controlled the glass with a 48-38 margin

Three players reached double figures led by 14 from Bennita Drain off the bench
Alexakos made six field goals and finished with 13 along with seven boards and six assists
