The women's basketball team triumphed Monday night at home against the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University, 88-59, giving the Bearcats a three-game winning streak.

The Bearcats opened strong in the first half, quickly reaching a double-digit lead off of NJCU's many turnovers. Then, early in the third quarter, NJCU cut what was a 17-point lead down to just nine.

The Bearcats responded well, holding off the NJCU comeback thanks in large part to
Jacqueline Kennedy, who had nine points and eight rebounds in the third quarter. She would finish with 21 points and eight rebounds for the night.

All five starters finished with double-digit points.
Veronica Ganzi had a game-high 27 points, along with six rebounds and four assists. Kristen Podlovits had 12 points, five assists, and got it done defensively with six steals and two blocks.

Shannon Barrett had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, to go along with five assists. Daniela Arias chipped in for good measure with 11 points and four assists.

Despite leading the game in rebounds, 48 to 39, NJCU couldn't overcome their poor shooting (29.4 FG%) or 32 turnovers to get back into the game.

Tu'ziah Hall led the visitors with 16 points and four steals.

The Bearcats' next game will be a home CUNYAC matchup against Medgar Evers College, Friday, December 9th, at 5:30 PM in the ARC Arena.
