The Baruch College Bearcats earned their first win of the young season with a 74-45 road win on Tuesday night at York College in Jamaica, New York.
The Bearcats scored 39 points off 39 turnovers by the Cardinals, while totaling 22 assists (31 baskets) in the win.
Jacqueline Kennedy had a big night with 28 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Veronica Ganzi tallied 18 points, eight steals and six assists, while Daniela Arias had another all-around effort with 15 points, seven assists, seven steals and five rebounds.
The Bearcats also received solid efforts this evening from Shannon Barrett (nine points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals) and Maria Myrianthopoulos (five rebounds).
The Cardinals shot 30.5 percent (18-for-59) to fall to 0-1 in CUNYAC. Evanda Redwood led their team with 22 points.
The Bearcats will hit the road again on Friday, December 2, for a 5 p.m. CUNYAC contest at CCNY.
The team will host their home opener next Monday, December 5, at 7 p.m. against the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University (live on YouTube).
