LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's basketball team dropped a tight conference contest to Concordia University Chicago at the buzzer on Wednesday night.

THE DETAILS
• Leading by seven points at 59-52 with 3:37 remaining, Benedictine did not score again as a desperation heave three-pointer on a deflection at the buzzer handed the visitors the win to cap a 9-0 run
• The contest featured a pair of ties and seven lead changes with neither side leading by more than seven points
• Benedictine led for the entire opening 10 minutes, grabbing a 16-10 advantage on a three from Peyton Sims with 2:09 to play in the frame
• The visitors jumped ahead for the first time on a pair of free throws with 2:17 left in the first half
• The lead would ping-pong back-and-forth until a late bucket from Concordia Chicago made the score 33-32 at halftime
• Benedictine fell behind by five points in the third quarter but used an 8-0 run to take a 46-43 lead on a jumper from D'Asia Williams with 1:24 to play in the quarter
• Jasma Williams scored on a jumper with :29 left in the quarter to make the score 48-44 in favor of Benedictine headed to the final 10 minutes
• Benedictine twice led by seven in the final quarter until the final run
STAT LEADERS
• Ferry led all scorers with 19 points, adding nine rebounds and six assists
• The 19 points marked a career high for the senior
• Williams finished with 10 off the bench
• Benedictine shot just 37.5 percent from the floor in the game
