WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Kelecia Harris scored 18 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked five shots and 10th-ranked Albright tied the school record for victories in a season with a 65-57 MAC Commonwealth victory over Lycoming at Lamade Gymnasium.

The Lions, who improved to 21-2 on the season and 13-1 in the MAC Commonwealth, tied the school record of 21 victories set by the 2014-15 Lions. Albright also tied the school record for most conference wins in a season with 13, which also was set by the 2014-15 team.

Harris posted her 48th career double-double in leading the Lions to their ninth consecutive victory of the season. She was 8-of-13 from the floor and also added an assist and a steal.

Sophomore Jane Joyce added 12 points, five assists and three steals and Nina Mazzarelli finished with 10 points. Sophomore Alysha Lofton had nine points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Lycoming, which dropped to 13-10 overall and 8-6 in league play, was led by Nicole Calella and Olivia Manges who each scored 12 points. Shelby Mueller and Chelsea Henderson added 10 points each for the Warriors.

Albright shot 45.5 percent for the game, which including shooting 50.0 percent in the second half, while limiting Lycoming to 35.0 percent shooting for the game.

The Lions built an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter when Xio Toledo drilled a three-pointer giving Albright a 53-42 lead with 7:16 to play in the game.

Lycoming rallied with a 10-3 run to climb to within 56-52 with 3:20 to play in the contest.

Toledo responded with her second three-pointer of the quarter to increase the lead to 59-52, but Manges answered with a three-pointer for the Warriors to cut the lead to 59-55 with 1:37 to play in the fourth quarter.

Following an Albright turnover, Lycoming tried to cut into the lead but Harris blocked a layup attempt by Henderson which led to a layup for Emily O'Donnell pushing the Lions lead to 61-55 with 48 seconds remaining.

Mazzarelli and Lofton each made two free throws down the stretch to hold off the Warriors.

Lycoming jumped out to an 11-4 lead to start the game, but the Lions used a run late in the first quarter to take the lead.

Shannon Thomas ignited a 14-0 Albright run with a jumper, and Joyce and Harris each added four points during the run, which gave the Lions an 18-11 lead after the first quarter.

Lycoming opened the second quarter with an 8-0 run, which featured back-to-back three-pointers by Haley Sipple and Manges, to take a 19-18 lead with 7:58 to play before halftime.

Devan Horka put the Lions back in front with a jumper, but Jenn Grove hit a layup giving the Warriors their final lead of the game at 21-20 at the 5:19 mark of the quarter.

A pair of jumpers by Mazzarelli helped the Lions take a 28-23 lead into the intermission.

In typical fashion, the Lions used a big run in the third quarter to take a double-digit lead.

Joyce hit a jumper and Harris then scored six straight points giving Albright its largest lead of the game at 42-29 with 2:00 to play in the third quarter.

Albright will conclude its regular season home schedule on Saturday (Feb. 13) when it hosts Stevenson in a MAC Commonwealth game at 4 p.m. in the Bollman Center. Harris and O'Donnell will be making their final home regular season appearances in a Lion uniform.
