CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology extended its school record winning streak to 13 games and moved into a first place tie in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball standings at 12-2 in league play with a 62-32 win at Mount St. Joseph on Saturday.

Rose-Hulman improved to 18-3 on the season and vaulted into a first place tie with No. 25 ranked Bluffton University with today's results.  Transylvania University knocked off Bluffton in Lexington to force a first place tie.

Freshmen Ally Bromenschenkel and Abby Bromenschenkel led a balanced Rose-Hulman scoring attack with double figure efforts.  Ally scored 11 points on 5-8 from the field, while Abby had 10 points, three rebounds and four assists.

Other key contributors to the balanced attack included senior Andi Evers with eight points and five rebounds; freshman Chiarra Franklin with eight points and seven rebounds; and junior Josie Schmidt with six points and four rebounds.  Alyzia Dilworth, Jenna Queary and Brianna Gliesmann had five points each, and junior Abbie Marshall scored four.

Defensively, Rose-Hulman held Mount St. Joseph to just 14 points in the first half and 32 in the game.  The effort marked the seventh time this year Rose-Hulman has held an opponent to 45 points or less in a game.

Rose-Hulman also won its 13th consecutive game and its 11th straight conference contest.  The Fightin' Engineers shot 44% from the field and held the Lions to just 18% shooting in the victory.

Rose-Hulman continues a three-game road trip with two games away from Hulbert Arena next week.  The Fightin' Engineers travel to Earlham on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and to Manchester on Saturday at 3 p.m., before returning home for their final two games of the regular season on Feb. 17 and Feb. 20.
