Women’s Basketball Uses Balance to Shoot Past Broncos, 83-68

Canton, NY – Ten different players scored as the SUNY Canton women's basketball team used a balanced effort to defeat visiting SUNY Delhi, 83-68, on Sunday afternoon in the Roos House.

SUNY Canton got off to a quick start doubling up the visiting Broncos 26-13 in the first quarter. The Roos were able to empty their bench as 11 different players saw action in the opening half. The hosts took a 35-27 advantage into intermission.

Karyss Terrance (Hogansburg, NY) led the way with seven points and nine rebounds, while Briannna Sayer (Hermon, NY) added six points and Kim McCarthy (Ludlow, MA) posted four points and eight rebounds. Three different players recorded six points for the Broncos.

SUNY Canton retook control of the game outscoring Delhi 29-17 in the third quarter en route to cruising to the 83-68 victory.

Ten different Roos scored led by 23 points, 12 rebounds and five steals from Sayer. Terrance added a double-double of her own with 13 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, while Logan Tallman (Heuvelton, NY) and Tatiana Laroche(Elmont, NY) added nine points apiece. Sade Rogers (Bronx, NY) also chipped in with eight points.  

Angelica Fox led the Broncos with 17 points, while Cayla Heffern and Kaitlin Haynes added 15 and 10 points, respectively.
