Strong second half shooting not enough for Saxons

ONEONTA, NY—The Alfred University women's basketball team lost 73-57 to the Hartwick Hawks on the road Friday evening in Empire 8 play.
 
Junior Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) led the Saxons with 19 points and six rebounds in the matchup. Sophomore McKaylee Croll (Perry, NY/Perry) maintained pace from the charity stripe with 3-of-4 shooting. Croll has shot made 21-of-23 free throws in the last four games.
 
Hartwick was paced by Emily Stone with 26 points. Jacqui Foreman collected 19 rebounds in the game.
 
The Saxons shot 38.9% from the field while the Hawks hit 47.5% of their shots on the night.
 
AU (1-13, E8 0-5) takes on Stevens tomorrow afternoon at 4PM as part of their road trip.
