FARMINGTON, Maine -- University of Maine at Farmington (6-5 5-1) sophomore Kelly Pomerleau (Turner, Maine/St. Dominic Acadmy) guided the Beavers with 18 points on Saturday afternoon to lead the team to a 69-55 North Atlantic Conference win over Lyndon State College (3-8, 2-4) in Dearborn Gymnasium. 

Pomerleau's hot shooting came into the play for the Beavers as she shot 4-of-8 from the field, but 3-of-5 from three-point land. In ten trips to the free-throw line, Pomerleau sank seven attempts while dishing three assists and grabbed a rebound. Meghan Smith (Boothbay, Maine/Boothbay Region) recorded her second double-double of the weekend with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Jenessa Talarico (Lewiston, Maine/Lewiston) added 10 points for UMF.

Lyndon's Mikayla Hodge narrowly recorded a 20-20 game as the sophomore scored 20 points and 18 rebounds. Hodge had a first half double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Marley Harmon added 11 points and four rebounds for the Hornets' offense.

The game was neck-and-neck for the first three quarters as neither team drew a lead larger than four points. The score was tied on 13 difference occasions with eight lead changes. UMF relied on clutch free throws in the final quarter as the Beavers shot 11-of-17 from the charity stripe in the final 10 minutes to seal its fourth straight conference win, and fifth out of the last sixth game overall. 

UMaine-Farmington plays the final game of a four-game conference home stand on Tuesday against Maine Maritime Academy.
