Bearcats Take Out Bloodhounds (61-39)

The women's basketball team was led by multiple players with 21 or more points on their way to a 61-39 CUNYAC victory over John Jay on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats held the Bloodhounds to just a 21 percent (13-for-62) shooting and 21.2 percent (7-for-33) from beyond the arc.


Jacqueline Kennedywas just two steals shy of her first career triple-double, but notched her ninth double-double nevertheless in as many games by bringing down 17 rebounds to couple her 26 points.

Classmate Veronica Ganziposted 21 points to go along with seven boards.

The Bearcat offense was facilitated by
Kristen Podlovits, who recorded nine assists.

Of the Bloodhounds' total 52 rebounds, 23 were reeled in by Victoria Royal. Both Terri Chu and Josephine Diaz led John Jay in scoring with 12 points apiece.
    
The Bearcats' next CUNYAC matchup will be on Friday, January 8, at 5 p.m. when they visit the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College at the West Quad Center.

They will be back in the ARC Arena on Tuesday, January 12, at 6 p.m. for a non-conference affair versus Amherst College.
