HUNTINGTON, PA—The Alfred University women's basketball team fell to Juniata College 75-51 in the first round of the Juniata Holiday Tournament.
 
Junior Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) led the Saxons with 18 points and five rebounds.  Sophomore McKaylee Croll (Perry, NY/Perry) scored 14 points to help spur the offense.  Sophomore Taylor Kelley (Andover, NY/Andover) and freshman Chanice Battle (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) both collected seven rebounds in the matchup.
 
Four of five Juniata starters scored in double-digits as they shot 38.7% (29-of-75) from the field.  AU shot 33.3% (17-of-51) on the night.
 
The Saxons (0-8, E8 0-0) will now take on the loser of Christopher Newport and Penn State-Altoona tomorrow at 2PM.
