MADISON, Wis. - The Benedictine University women's basketball team scored 21 points in the fourth quarter en route to a 64-47 win at Edgewood College, capturing an eighth consecutive contest.

Benedictine opened a double-digit lead early, moving ahead 15-5 on a three-pointer from Shannon Ryan with 3:05 left in the first quarter
The lead would reach 11 on a three-pointer from Payton Sims with just over a minute left in the first and Benedictine led 21-13 after one
While not relinquishing the lead in the second, Edgewood did come back to tie the score 28-28 at halftime
Edgewood led briefly in the third quarter at 34-33 before six unanswered points from Benedictine capped on a jumper from Venita Parsons made the score 39-34
Benedictine did not trail again and made seven free throws in the final minute to pull away

STAT LEADERS
Nicole Botich boasted a monster game, scoring 21 points and adding 16 rebounds, setting a season high in points and matching a season and career best on the glass
DeKayla Crayton also reached double figures, tallying 10 points
Benedictine held a 44-35 edge on the glass and scored 21 points on turnovers
For the game, Benedictine shot 35.4 percent, but limited Edgewood to just 26.7 percent in the second half
