The Calvin women's basketball team improved to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the MIAA with a 91-45 victory over visiting Saint Mary's College on Saturday afternoon at Van Noord Arena.
Calvin outscored the Belles 28-11 in the third quarter to pull away for the win.
Calvin was led by sophomore Ali Spayde with 18 points while junior Anna Timmer had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Lauren Goldthorpe tossed in 12 points off the bench including a pair of triples.
Freshman Rachel Warners also had a strong game off the bench with six points and a career-high 11 rebounds.
Eleni Shea lead Saint Mary's (0-8 overall, 0-2 MIAA) with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
"It was a good conference win and was good to get a game in at home," said Calvin women's basketball coach John Ross. "It's always good to get lot of players playing time. That will help improve our depth as the season goes along."
Calvin returns to action next Saturday when it hosts Albion at 3 p.m. at Van Noord Arena.
