Saxons surpassed by late run on the road

HAMBURG, NY—Junior Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) scored 23 points in the 63-56 loss to D'Youville College Saturday afternoon in Hamburg, NY.
 
In addition to scoring 23 points, Off also collected 14 boards for the Saxons. Sophomore McKaylee Croll (Perry, NY/Perry) pitched in with 11 points and three rebounds while freshman Chanice Battle (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) led the team with seven assists.
 
The Saxons led D'Youville with four minutes to go in the game following two made free throws by Croll.  However, the D'Youville offense rattled off seven consecutive points to win the game. 
 
AU shot 23-of-55 (41.8%) from the field while D'Youville only hit 31.3% of their shots.  The Saxons also held an advantage in points in the paint (28-26) and second chance points (8-4). 
 
With the loss, AU falls to 0-3 (E8 0-0) and looks to earn their first win of the season when they travel to Keuka Park, NY to take on the Wolfpack at 8PM.
