Junior guard Katie Stone sank five 3-point shots and scored a season-high 19 points to lead No. 2-ranked St. Thomas to a 63-39 win over Augsburg in MIAC women's basketball playoff action at UST's Schoenecker Arena.

The top-seeded Tommies (26-0) moved to 13-0 at home this season and advanced to the MIAC playoff title game for the sixth consecutive season. They will play host to Saturday's 3 p.m. playoff championship contest against second-seed Bethel. The Royals (21-5) scored a 72-56 win over fourth-seed St. Mary's.

UST led just 17-13 midway through the opening half. But senior guard Jenna Dockter scored nine points and Stone had eight to fuel a 24-7 run over the last 5:45 of the first half as UST pulled ahead 41-20 at the break.

The Tommies came into the game ranked second nationally in field-goal shooting at 47 percent. They converted 55 percent from the floor in the victory and posted a 30-17 rebounding edge.

St. Thomas sank 11-of-20 from 3-point range and had at least one made trey from five different players. Over their last three games, UST has made 30-of-56 from behind the 3-point arc.

Dockter added 17 points on 5-of-5 shooting from the floor and 4-of-5 from the foul line; Alyssa Favilla scored eight points; and Anna Smith had eight rebounds.

Stone's five treys matched a career high.

The 39 points were the fewest allowed by the Tommies in 84 postseason games, all in the last 32 seasons.

The sixth-seeded Auggies (15-11), playing their second road game in three days, shot just 36 percent. Jessica Lillquist led with 14 points.
