SALEM, Ore. – In a game that saw four of Pacific's five starters score in double figures, it was Willamette that came away with an 80-75 overtime victory inside Cone Field House on Saturday afternoon.

After Julia Brand opened the scoring for the Bearcats 29 seconds into the game, Pacific responded with a Sarah Curl (So., Portland, Ore.) 3-pointer and a jumper from Kelsey Misseldine (Sr., Phoenix, Ariz.) to take an early 5-2 lead.

The Bearcats clawed back ahead of Pacific until the 11:03 mark in the first half when a 3-pointer by Kaila Johnson (Sr., McKinleyville, Calif.) flipped a one-point Willamette lead into a two-point Pacific advantage.

The two sides exchanged makes before Olivia Cook (Sr., Beaverton, Ore.) hit a jumper with 5:04 to give the Boxers a 26-21 lead. A layup from Kyla Siri (Jr., Spring Creek, Nev.) followed Cook's make and pushed the Boxers' advantage to seven.

Willamette responded with a three-point play from Marisa Hamilton, but saw the four-point deficit grow when Maia LaBoy (Fr., Honolulu, Hawaii) sparked a run that would see Pacific's lead reach 10 points on three occasions, before a layup with eight seconds from Brand cut the Pacific lead to eight at 38-30 entering halftime.

The momentum from Brand's late first half make continued as Katie Kalugin scored four-straight points out of the break to pull the Bearcats within four. Misseldine laid-in Pacific's first points of the second half at the 16:30 mark, but saw JoJo DeLong respond with a layup of her own for Willamette.

Misseldine's next make at 14:52 was followed by four straight from Willamette and cut the Boxers lead to 42-40.

Curl hit a jumper with 12:54, only to see Hamilton spark a 12-2 run for the Bearcats that gave Willamette a 53-47 lead with 9:27 remaining in regulation. By the 6:23 mark, the Bearcats advantage grew to nine points at 61-52.

Just under the six-minute mark, Johnson completed a three-point play, followed by back-to-back jumpers from Cook to pull Pacific within two of the home team.  Four-straight points from Willamette was responded to quickly by Pacific when Misseldine hit a jumper at 2:27 to cut the Willamette lead to four.

A timeout with 2:02 left in the first period by Willamette did not prove to be a momentum buster for the Bearcats with Nani Ostrom (Sr., Juneau, Alaska) scoring out of the timeout before with 53 seconds left a Misseldine jumper knotted the game at 65-65.

With 34 seconds remaining a Kylie Towry 3-pointer found its way out of bounds and into the Boxers' possession, causing Pacific head coach Sharon Rissmiller to call a timeout.

After 20 seconds ticked off the clock, another Pacific timeout led to a missed jumper from Cook with four seconds left to see the final scoring chance for either team come-up short and send the sides into overtime tied 65-65.

Willamette never trailed in the overtime period as Kalugin scored the opening two points with 3:48 left in the extra period. The Bearcats' lead reached seven points with 36 seconds left, but a jumper from Curl pulled Pacific within four with 15 seconds remaining. A late free throw make from DeLong clinched Willamette's 80-75 victory over the Boxers.

Cook led Pacific with 16 points and 12 rebounds in a double-double effort, while Johnson posted a 15-point performance for the Boxers. Cook's double-double was her eighth of the season and 13th of her collegiate career.

Curl and Misseldine posted 13 points and 11 points, respectively.

The Boxers conclude the 2014-15 season with a 9-16 mark overall and 5-11 NWC record.
