BRADFORD, Pa. – The Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team came away with a win in an 82-49 victory over Mount Aloysius on the Panthers' senior day.

Pitt-Bradford (17-7, 14-4) was led offensively by freshman Ali Rinfrette (Bradford/Bradford) and sophomore Kaserra Owens (Bradford/Bradford) who shared a game-high 15 points.

Mount Aloysius (10-14, 7-11) was led offensively by Abbie Zinobile who tallied 12 points for the Mounties in the loss.

Mount Aloysius jumped out to an early lead against the Lady Panthers as its offense started off hot converting on four of its first five shots to start out the game.

The Lady Panthers took the lead from the Mounties with 14:20 left in the first half after a jump shot by junior Abby Brate (Wrightsville, Pa./Eastern York) and never gave it back.

Pitt-Bradford went on a 10-2 run, which ended with 4:45 left in the first half after a made jump shot by Rinfrette.

The Lady Panthers closed out the first half strong after a made three-point shot by senior Melanie Yanetsko (Olean, N.Y./Olean) with 10 seconds remaining. Pitt-Bradford entered the locker room up 42-21.

Rinfrette and senior Alicia Kimmel (Pine Grove/Pine Grove) ended the first half with 8 points each.

The Lady Panthers started the second half on fire as they went on a 13-0 run. The Mounties simply could not find an answer for the Lady Panther's offense as they scored from all areas of the floor.

Pitt-Bradford clicked on both sides of the ball in its senior game. The Lady Panther's offense shot 54.1 percent from the field and held the Mounties' offense to only 27 percent shooting.

The Lady Panthers looked sharp on both offense and defense as they coasted to an 82-49 victory over the Mounties.

Pitt-Bradford's head coach Patrick Daniel said, "Total team win on both ends of the floor. I am very happy with how we played going into the AMCC Tournament next week. Also, I am very happy and proud of our two seniors, Melanie Yanetsko and Alicia Kimmel, for how they played on senior day. This was a special day and we wanted to play well for them."

The Lady Panthers will receive a bye in round one of the AMCC Tournament and will wait to host their opponent, the winner of the Pitt-Greensburg/Franciscan game on Friday at LaRoche (8 p.m.) in the semifinals.
