GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. – The Griffins honored their two seniors Wednesday night as Gwynedd Mercy downed Cairn, 87-33, as part of the Senior Night festivities.

The scoring column was full as all 12 players registered a point as GM (15-9, 11-4 CSAC) shot a season-best 50.7% (38-of-75) while totaling 30 assists and 12 blocks, also both season tops.

Senior Natasha Matthews led a balanced scoring attack with a game-high 16 points. Junior Olivia Bradford added 11 points while sophomore Charlotte Kucowski added nine rebounds, six points, and a personal-best five assists. Sophomore Nicole Dombrowski also dished out five assists and would also add three blocks.

The Griffins jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first 2:46 of the game. The lead would grow to 20 as a layup off a steal from freshman Dee Terry with 13:07 left made it a 22-2 game. GM would lead 47-16 at the half.

Amy Faust led the Highlanders, who closed out their season, with 12 points and seven rebounds. Amie Eppolito added 10 points and four assists.

Matthews and Kelsey Yori were recognized along with their parents for their achievements.

Gwynedd Mercy will end the regular season on Friday with a rescheduled affair with Marywood here at the Griffin Complex in a 7:30 start. The winner of Friday's game will secure the #3 playoff seed, with #4 going to the losing team in next week's CSAC Tournament. The Griffins will host a first-round playoff game on Monday night in a time TBD.
