ALFRED, NY – Nazareth College defeated host Alfred University, 81-61, in an Empire 8 Conference women's basketball contest Friday evening in the Galanis Family Arena.
 
Senior guard Harley Cleary (Rochester, NY/Mercy) led three AU players in double figures with 18 points and three assists. Sophomore forward Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) had 12 points, five rebounds and three steals, and freshman guard McKaylee Croll (Perry, NY/Perry) had 12 points and three boards.
 
Lindsey Kelly had 27 points and 13 rebounds to pace Nazareth (12-7, 7-3 Empire 8). Samantha Peebles added 14 points and Sam Sorge chipped in with 10.
 
AU (4-16, 1-11 Empire 8) is in action next on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at Empire 8 foe Houghton.
