Baruch Defeats CCNY, Sit Atop CUNYAC at 8-0, Henry Scores 1,000th career Point

The Baruch College Bearcats scored the first 16 points en route to an 83-47 win over the Beavers of CCNY on Friday night in the ARC Arena.

The victory is the seventh straight for the Bearcats as they also stay undefeated in conference play at 8-0.

During the game,
Francess Henryscored her 1,000th career point to become the 12th player in team history to reach the milestone.

Henry led all scorers with 20 points to go along with eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Veronica Ganzi(17pts, 2 stl), Kristen Podlovits(11pts, 5 asst), and Iyana Abrams(11 pts, 6 asst, 6 rbs, 4 stl) rounded out the double-figure scorers for the home win.

Karissa Core led the visiting Beavers (4-12, 2-6 CUNYAC) with 18 points.

The women's basketball team will return to action on Monday, January 19 (Martin Luther King Day) with a 7:00 pm non-conference contest in southern New Jersey against Richard Stockton College.
