Kelly Fraser Named Skyline Conference Co-Player Of The Week

New York, N.Y. – College of Mount Saint Vincent senior center Kelly Fraser (Staten Island, N.Y.) has been named a Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week in Women's Basketball it was announced on Monday. Fraser, who shares the honor with Mount Saint Mary's Nicole Lanteri, picks up her third weekly honor of the season.

 

In a 2-0 week for Mount Saint Vincent, Fraser averaged 10.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. She shot 38.9-percent from the floor, 60-percent from the free-throw line and added three blocked shots, two assists and a pair of steals.

 

Against Mount Ida to start the week, Fraser netted 10 points and hauled in 13 rebounds to go along with a steal in a 71-36 home non-conference win over Mount Ida. Against Berkeley on Saturday, a 71-49 Mount Saint Vincent victory, Fraser scored 10 points, adding 10 rebounds and three blocked shots.

 

Through the season's first 10 games, Fraser leads the Skyline Conference in rebounding and ranks fourth in field goal percentage. In addition, Fraser sits tied for third in blocked shots and tied for sixth in scoring average.

 

At 8-2 overall on the season, Mount Saint Vincent will open Skyline Conference play on Tuesday when it travels to Mount Saint Mary. Tip-off with the Knights is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
