The Millikin women's basketball team rolled to its ninth win of the season defeating MacMurray College 98-57 in Jacksonville, Illinois on Dec. 31, 2014.
Millikin returned to action after a break for Christmas not showing any signs of rust from the 10 day layoff. Millikin shot 60 percent from the field in the first half and cruised to a 59-30 advantage at halftime. Millikin shot 51 percent from the field while holding MacMurray to 35.5 percent. Millikin out rebounded MacMurray 55-29.
Millikin had four players score in double figures led by freshman Devin Curry with a career high 24 points. Curry was eight of 12 from the field including hitting six of seven from three point range. Alyssa Saklak had 21 points and four steals. Hannah Millington had a team high 16 points and a team high five steals. Holly Haskins had 13 points and a team high eight rebounds. Rachael Weber had nine assists.
Kaydee Carmody led MacMurray with 20 points.
Millikin is now 9-2 while MacMurray goes to 2-7.
