Corrigan Selected as AMCC Player of the Week in Women's Basketball

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona senior forward Moira Corrigan (Havertown, PA/Haverford) was chosen as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week in women's basketball on Monday afternoon.

Corrigan had a big week for the Lady Lions in a pair of non-conference losses, recording double-doubles in both games. In her team's 89-78 loss at Saint Vincent College on Tuesday, she scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. In Penn State Altoona's 82-70 loss to Wesley College on Saturday, she put up a game-high 24 points and matched her career-high -- as well as the women's basketball program's single-game high -- by securing 19 rebounds.

For the week, Corrigan averaged 20.5 points per game and 15.0 rebounds per game.

This is the first time in her collegiate basketball career that she has garnered an AMCC weekly award.
